The first component of the design process was simply to create a brand that had an attractive, high-quality name. Our goal was to make sure that the entire line of dinnerware products was taken seriously by consumers. We wanted the brand to be extremely desirable, and associated with quality and luxury. To do this we, created a brand that resonated with the sensibilities of the grocery stores' shoppers. Market Basket and Affiliated Grocers customers were treated to a brand new line of dinnerware under the "Potter's Village" brand name.
The Potter's Village brand name was designed to be both aspirational and "down home," giving customers a sense of comfort when they bought each item. Because people buy goods for the lifestyle the aspire to lead, our products were perfectly suited to the vast majority of customers who value nostalgia, handcrafted quality, and durable goods in every aspect of their lives. As a marketing and ad agency, this was the central piece of our dinnerware product development.
Our next task as product design experts was to create an effective way to promote these products that would be easy for the stores to deploy and available to educate the customer about the mission of the brand. We did this by developing a great set of PDQ displays. They served to not only display the brand to customers, but also to show them what the brand meant and why they might consider it a valuable addition to their shopping cart during regular trips to the grocery store. These displays were generally quite successful, and the brand today remains one of the bet-selling dinnerware products at those supermarket chains.
Though this is one of the best examples of our ability to create an entirely new brand and market it successfully, it is hardly the only example of our hard work in this area. Since our founding, we've been centrally focused on boosting existing brands and creating new labels that can adequately improve a company's image and desirability among its target demographic.
One of the key ways that businesses maintain the attention of consumers between the major shopping seasons is by developing exciting new brands that can market anything from winter coats to dinnerware in a fresh way. These brands can be used to convey an entirely new lifestyle to consumers, tapping into their desire for more luxury, more refined materials, and a refreshing new product that isn't like anything they've purchased before. Many companies do this, from Canadian Tire to department stores and grocery stores all over the world. For those in Canada, though, there is one team to trust when it comes to developing and marketing new brands of retail goods.
Ad Army Group is a leading marketing, advertising, and design firm located in Toronto. Our prerogative on marketing and merchandising is relatively simple. We believe that new brands should be easy, intuitive, and tap into a target market's desire for a better product and more enjoyable buying experience. We are committed to well-rounded design and promotion that involves everything from a product's website to its logo, promotional style, and marketing approach. it is because of this innovative approach to marketing that we have been able to design some great brands for big names in Canada and beyond.
Muskoka Equipment Company winter wear at Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire is easily the leading retailer throughout all of Canada, with an estimated 90 percent of Canada's population living within just fifteen minutes of their nearest Canadian Tire retail location. That's a pretty big presence, and it's one that Ad Army Group's product design experts were trusted to work with when the company wanted to create an all-new ski and winter gear brand. To say this was a flattering request would be understating it. To say that it was a large job would also be understating the amount of work we put into creating the perfect ski gear brand for this major national presence in Canada.
We started first by relying on our marketing sensibilities to determine exactly how the brand should be conveyed. Should it be rugged or trendy? Upscale or accessible? We did an extensive amount of research not only into how Canadian Tire presented itself, but also about how it wanted to be seen. We looked at how the public perceived the brand, and we came up with new ways to captivate their attention and elevate Canadian Tire's newest line of products to enviable heights.
In the end, we determined that the best way to build interest about this new line of ski products and winter gear would be to give the brand an all-natural, woodsy feel. Canada is, after all, a bit more rugged than many countries, and that presents a big opening for a brand that pairs the nation appreciation for winter sports with a traditionally rugged Canadian theme. The final product was called Moskoka Equipment Company, and it has been one of the most solid new product launches for Canadian Tire in recent years.
To drive home the brand's message, we paired its rugged name with an innovative website that was full of the exact images we wanted to be associated with the label. The website's background is not a flat color, but a wooden texture that looks like it came directly from a rugged ski lodge. The lettering and branding is made to look outdoorsy, with simple colors that allow consumers to focus their attention on the products rather than the brand itself.
With a new logo, a new name, and a new website dedicated to promoting the brand, Muskoka Equipment Company has staying power that extends well beyond its initial launch. We're proud to have been part of this key product development cycle, and we always look forward to doing it again in the future.
Plenty of Experience Across All Industries
The hallmark of an Ad Army Group experience lies in just one hyphenated phrase: well rounded. We believe that the best way to expand our reach and elevate our talents is to make sure that we never get cornered into just one market or industry .TO that end, we've helped develop and launch products for a large number of other companies in Canada as well as in the United States. Our professional team has done work for CVS/Pharmacy, A&P supermarket chains, and a number of other companies that pair great branding with a solid consumer experience.
It is this diverse number of companies and industries that has gotten us where we are today. With marketing, advertising, and web design experience across the board, we're able to easily meet the demands of any business or individual who needs a fresh, innovative take on their target market. We know exactly how to position every brand or individual that we serve, giving them access not only to their existing demographic but to people across the spectrum who otherwise might not have been touched by their marketing strategies or promotional campaigns.
With the Help of Paul Cookson, Our Success Continues
One of the best assets we have when competing for business is the presence of Paul Cookson, who has long been respected as one of the driving forces in marketing, advertising, and design, in Toronto and throughout Canada and the United States. Cookson got his start in the industry more than 20 years ago. Ever since, he has been helping to shape the conversation around new and existing brands, exciting technologies, and innovative approaches to the field.
It is this personality that represents the driving force of our success. Under the direction of Paul Cookson, Ad Army Group has long believed that it's not good enough to settle for the market strategies, technologies, and demographics that currently exist. Instead, our work is targeted toward expanding those demographics, creating new technologies for promotion, and employing strategies that are all-new. Instead of approaching the marketing world as it is, we approach it as it will someday be.
