Business Systems, a leading Toronto Toshiba dealer, needed a new brand identity and user-friendly, flexible website design. Our solution, as always, was to go beyond and create an SEO marketing strategy that would get their new website noticed.
Ad Army Group implemented a WordPress content management system (CMS) to allow employees to create and upload content to the site. This added flexibility and increased sales. We simplified the design and designed an interface that is more intuitive and allows customers to find what they need quickly.
Successful online marketing for websites can break down into to two basic missions. The first involves attracting visitors to the site using strategies like search engine optimization, paid advertising and offline marketing.
Once the online marketing team is able to attract a good stream of visitors to the site, the task then switches to the next mission of capturing the visitor’s attention and eventually moving them to action. Today’s web users are very particular about the types of websites that they will spend any amount of time viewing.
For the Business Systems website, the goal was to create a presentation that would immediately capture the eye of visitors. For example, when the visitor comes to the homepage, they immediately see a dynamic graphic display of images. These images highlight the following points:
- The company’s outstanding product line of Toshiba printers, copiers, faxes and scanners.
- The complete selection of equipment and supplies offered
- Business Systems' quick customer and technical service
- The value that customers receive from Business Systems
- The helpful and professional staff ready to help customers
Immediately, visitors will know what the site offers and they will receive positive impressions from the high-resolution imagery that shows both products and staff in a manner that relays the right message.
At the top of the homepage, the visitor will also quickly see that Business Systems is an authorized Toshiba dealer and that it is an official supplier to the Air Canada Centre. These credentials help to establish trust with potential customers.
Another matter that web surfers are particular about is the usability of the website. If the homepage has too much clutter and is difficult to decipher, visitors will quickly leave the page to find what they need elsewhere.
We designed the new Business Systems site with a “clean” layout that helps the visitor quickly find what they want. The navigation menu is easy to find at the top of the page. Textual content is at the right density as too much text clutter can turn off potential customers.
The sidebar utilizes interactive images in which the image changes when the user hovers over each selection. The homepage provides the users with an interface that is intuitive and that allow them to find what they need quickly.
Making the sale
Once the website captures the viewers’ attention, the goal is then to keep them onsite so that they can view the product/service line.
The AdArmyGroup.com team created easy navigation to the Products page that provides a listing of all the Toshiba business solutions. Each product comes with a link to a PDF file with full technical specifications.
Since many consumers are always looking for deals, there is also a page for specials offered by Business Systems to include the standard specials of free networking installation for all new equipment, and free network printing and scanning for all color equipment.
Since most prospects will first need to gain trust in the company before deciding to do business with them, the site offers a “Meet the Team” page.
On this page, the visitor can view profiles of the entire sales, customer service and IT/service teams including company President Frank Waszkun. The page includes photos along with titles and short biographical messages from the team members. Visitors can even view a video of the 2012 Toshiba Boat Cruise.
The personal nature of the site combined with credentials showing that the company is an authorized Toshiba dealer and a supplier to a major corporation like Air Canada help engender confidence in the business among potential customers.
The closing argument
Once the customer has information on the company’s products, reputation and credentials, the task will then move to closing the sale.
At the bottom of the Business Systems homepage, there is a call to action by none other than President Waszkun asking visitors if they need help finding the right Toshiba printer. By clicking on the banner image, the user will be able to send a direct email to the customer service team.
The banner also includes the company’s customer service hotline number. Web visitors can also check the “contact us” page to find the office address along with Google maps to the company's two locations, in downtown Toronto and Mississauga.
